Our Client in Southwest England is looking for an Experienced Tree Surveyor / Labourer to undertake a variety of Borough wide Tree inspections whilst also planning and leading various maintenance projects.

This role is calling for a surveyor to assist in the delivery of maintenance and inspections across home environments, Highways and Parks within the borough.

Daily tasks would include:

  • Undertake surveys and inspections of Council trees and accurately record all data collected on the asset management system (Confirm Arboriculture).

 

  • Understanding, knowledge and ability to follow guidelines that ensures compliance with Health and Safety at Work, Data Protection and other statutory requirements.

 

  • Prepare, issue and monitor the completion of tree work schedules in accordance with contract documentation and the following legislation; Highways Act 1980, Traffic Management Act 2005, New Roads and Street Works Act 1991.

Experience

  • To be considered 3 years experience within horticulture maintenance roles would be desirable along with relevant qualifications.

 

  • 1 years Experience within a local authority would be preferable but not essential.

 

  • Knowledge of Tree related works and health issues related to trees. Knowledge of existing legislation and Industry best practice relevant to Arboriculture.

 

  • First Aid Trained.

 

  • Member of the relevant professional body.
